We stayed in one of their co-ed dorms with 6 bunks. We’ve stayed in both private rooms and dorms, but we’ve never stayed at a hostel that made the dorm life feel as private and comfortable as Ember did. Although there is sometimes a preconceived notion of hostels, if you do your research, a hostel can be one of the highlights of your trip! So, when we had a quick stop in Denver, CO before visiting our family in New Mexico we decided to look into hostels and found Ember! IT WAS AMAZING!

Thank you Ember for giving me such a great first time hostel experience.Cai and I love a good hostel and have stayed in quite a few all over the world. They were kind enough to lend a towel and let me, a small act of kindness that meant a lot for me. Since I was flying out that night, I asked if I could still shower even though I had technically checked out. On my last day even though I had already checked out, I came back to drop a friend I had just made in the hot tube the night before off. Within your bunk, there was a light as well as a charging station with regular outlets as well as USB ports. They have velvet curtains to close, providing some privacy and helping you sleep. Even the sleeping arrangements were nice. Everything was newly updated, and that was easy to tell with how nice the bathrooms and showers were. A hot tub? Fire pit? Parlor? These things really made the place stand out and make you feel like you're getting way beyond a good bang for your buck. Obviously what makes it so cool outside of the amazing staff is the amenities. By the end of the day Saturday, I felt like I was leaving a newfound home. I will be sure to go back any time I am in town.

I spent a Thursday and Saturday night there as I explored Colorado. The thing that really stood out to me was the friendliness and warmth I felt from the staff who worked there. So with this being my first hostel experience, I am glad to say that I loved it. This was my first ever time at a hostel, and I was told by many not to expect such a nice place anywhere else as far as hostels go. I will definitely stay here in the future! Thank you staff members Adrian, Royale and Sydnee! You helped to make our stay even better!įrom the moment I walked in and say the foyer with an ancient bust and fancy furniture, I knew I was in for a different experience. But other than that, it was a fun, peaceful place to stay. This became a hassle when we forgot things and had to climb several sets of stairs many times a day. The only down side was that we were put on the 3rd floor & there were several stairs & no elevator. The staff goes above & beyond to help guests enjoy their stay. I have stayed in several hostels in my life, but I have never experienced one like this. The place was clean, with several bathrooms and showers for guests. Inside, there is a large living room area as well as little areas you can go if you want some solitude. Outdoors, there is a fire pit and comfortable furniture. The common areas are set up so that guests can get to know one another inside or out. We both felt taken care of & comfortable during our stay here.

From the adorable decor to the free coffee & snacks in the morning, Ember Hostel never failed to deliver a great experience. From the moment we checked in, we found more & more things to love about this place. My friend & I had a great time at Ember Hostel. (Trying to get up there after an evening of drinking is an extreme sport lol) In the area, there's lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance and even more a short uber ride away. The common areas had super cute decor and I loved that there was coffee in the lobby area. Getting to that top bunk was a little tricky bc there's no handle up there, but I persevered. I loved that my bunk had wall plugs and a lamp inside. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and the bed was insanely comfy. We made dinner plans and ended up getting dinner together and bar hopping later that evening off Larimer and ended the night with drunken chatter until 5 am in the hot tub. I can be a bit introverted and in true hostel nature, I met some really dope people within an hour of checking in. Well, lemme tell ya.it was awesome! I actually felt (and still do feel) stupid for not extending my trip. I read so many awesome reviews about Ember Hostel, it seemed like a no-brainer to book. I was in Denver for work and decided to stay behind an extra day to see a little bit of what Denver had to offer.
